The last few years I have been trying to learn more programs in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere and After Effects. This year I designed all of the art for our summer reading program including the logo and this animation. I don't usually write here about my process but this was a challenge to animate all of the vines. For one, each branch and offshoot of the vine had to be a separate layer. My solution was to create a code for each vine. For example, A was for the left vine and A1 was the first offshoot. Then from there I could animate each vine to appear in the video. The video is below and I'll include a screenshot of the After Effects file. There might be easier ways to do this, but that is the magic of making art - multiple ways to do things and you keep learning through the process!
