New Mexico After Christmas
Saturday/January 31/2015
"New Mexico After Christmas" Encaustic & Drawing, 16 x 20 inches, 2015
Two years ago I drove to Chimayo and went onward, on a narrow road that led the back way through Taos. It's an amazing area. The lanscape is beautiful and the buildings/towns you see nestled up in the mountains seem more European than American. At the top of a slope, I saw that someone had decorated a Christmas tree. The wind had blown off many of the ornaments and they were scattered along the ground, with remnants of melting snow.
